The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced the 2018-19 Bemis Company Education Series tonight to a group of educators at the annual Educator Appreciation Event. Educators were able to preview the 2018-19 education programs, schedule experiences and network with one another as they discussed how the arts integrate into their classroom.

Sarasota Opera is pleased to announce the line-up for the 2018 season of 'HD at the Opera House' and "Classic Movies at the Opera House".  This weekly series of filmed performances has allowed Sarasota Opera to expand its programming from the fall and winter season to year-around. The 2018 "HD at the Opera House" series will open on Sunday, May 20th and run through September 30th and will include presentations of Ballet and Theater from some of the world's most famous venues and companies including the Royal Opera House; Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Royal Shakespeare Company; Vienna State Opera; and the Royal Ballet. Each presentation will begin at 1:30pm.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC) announced that Christopher Llewyn Ramirez will be joining the Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season.

SWEET REVENGE, with the subtitle of: as performed by the Julius Slowacki Players, Saint Louis, 1933, is a delightful look back at our city's own Polish heritage. Artistic Director Philip Boehm translates ZEMSTA by playwright Aleksander Fredo, but gives the work a twist by showing us how the troupe, which ceased performing in 1959, would have staged the piece, albeit, in English. This is an enjoyable romp that's amusing, and supposedly based on a true bit of history that Fredo ran across. Boehm's translation maintains Fredo's clever rhyming scheme, which gives it a playful, lighthearted air.
