The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University will present a season of outrageous comedy, sultry seductiveness, holiday warmth, and disco divas as it begins its 2017-2018 season this fall.

One of the most beloved and respected singer/songwriters kicks off his new tour with an exclusive, intimate concert at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City.

Frank Iero and the Patience plays historic White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on July 22, the only New York City area appearance  of their current tour.

In collaboration with Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra offers a free performance in honor of American service men and woman. "In Honor of Service - An Americana Concert" is Today, June 30 at 7 p.m. at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.

New York City Opera's 2017/2018 season will offer four new mainstage productions at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater, including a Spanish-language opera as part of its Ópera en Español series. City Opera will also offer two New York City Opera Concerts in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall and a chamber opera series at locations to be announced. New York City Opera Orchestra will be featured in every opera.

After a very extensive overhaul and restoration, a historic theater is back in business in Jersey City, much to the delight of audiences throughout the New Jersey and Metro-New York region.

Initial casting is announced today (20 April 2017) for Qdos Entertainment's London Palladium production of Dick Whittington.  Following the success of Cinderella last year, the production will see the return of Julian Clary who will play Spirit of the Bells, Paul Zerdin as Idle Jack and Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel.  Further casting and creative team will be announced shortly.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in Mahler's Symphony No. 4, with soprano Ying Fang as soloist, at the Annual Free Memorial Day Concert, Monday, May 29, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine. This will be the 26th Annual Free Memorial Day Concert offered by the New York Philharmonic, a tradition begun in 1992 as a gift to the people of New York City.

On Monday, April 3 at 8:00 p.m., the orchestra performs Ravel'sLa valse and Piano Concerto in G Major withPierre-Laurent Aimard, alongside Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 55, 'Eroica." This concert is being broadcast live on Classical 105.9 FM WQXR, and streamed onwqxr.org and carnegiehall.org/wqxr as part of the Carnegie Hall Live series. It will be heard later this year on radio stations across the country through the WFMT Radio Network.

Seventy years after its first Carnegie Hall appearance, the San Francisco Symphony (SFS), led by Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT), returns to perform works by Cage, Bartok, and Shostakovich on Friday, April 7, at 8 p.m. and an all-Mahler program on Saturday, April 8, at 8 p.m. The Fridayprogram features Cage's The Seasons, Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1 performed with soloist Gautier Capucon, and Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra, to be followed the next evening by Mahler's Adagio from Symphony No. 10 and a complete performance of Symphony No. 1.

On Sunday, March 19 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra showcases violinist Philippe Graffin at its Restless Romantics concert conducted by Christopher Lyndon-Gee.

Music Mountain President, Nicholar Gordon announced America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival will kick off on June 11th with a summer featuring Beethoven and favorite Piano Quintets!
