Additional Performances Added To FST's OPUS
by Gabrielle Sierra - Jan 16, 2009

Due to popular demand, additional performances have been added to Florida Studio Theatre's production of Opus! The critically-acclaimed production and audience pleaser has lead to Sold-Out houses! Added performances will include Sunday, January 25 at 8:00 PM; Wednesday, January 28 at 8:00 PM and Friday, January 30 at 8:00 PM. 'Opus strikes a chord with every patron; we all have been part of a group, where there is as much dissonance as there is harmony. The creative abrasion involved in any art form can also be seen in banking, real-estate or any business partnership. The truth of the play has led to its success.' stated Artistic Director and Show Director, Richard Hopkins. When their mentally-imbalanced violist disappears, a world-class string quartet takes a chance on a gifted but relatively inexperienced young woman. With only a few days to rehearse a grueling Beethoven masterpiece, the four struggle to prepare their highest-profile performance ever - a televised ceremony at the White House. Their rehearsal room becomes a pressure cooker as passions rise, personalities clash, and the players are forced to confront the fleeting nature of their life's work.
