Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, and Blue Star Families, the country's largest chapter-based military families non-profit organization, are pleased to announce a Blue Star Theatres event in Philadelphia featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel on April 8 presented by The Wilma Theater.

OPERA America, the national service organization for opera, is pleased to announce the first round of recipients of its new program: Opera Grants for Female Composers, made possible through the generosity of The Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. From among the 112 eligible applicants, an independent adjudication panel selected eight composers. The recipients have each been awarded $12,500 to support the development of their compositions listed below.

The Public Theater announced the line-up today for the 2014 free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 52-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Florida Studio Theatre announces its participation in the Legacy of Valor, a campaign created by The Patterson Foundation to honor veterans and their families in Southwest Florida. FST will be teaching a series of 14 Spoken Word workshops from October through December at Booker Middle School. The theme of these workshops will be Speak! Of Service, Of Country, Of Freedom. Florida Studio Theatre's Legacy of Valor events are in collaboration with the Senior Friendship Center.
