A performance by Tony Award-winner John Lithgow will be among the 2007/2008 season highlights at Off-Broadway's New Victory Theatre, according to Variety.

For five performances in January, Lithgow - who will next appear as Malvolio in the RSC's Twelfth Night beginning on August 30th - will perform songs from his 2006 children's album "The Sunny Side of the Street" at the family-friendly threatre.

The New Victory's '07/'08 season will launch on September 28th with an adaptation of Tove Jansson's book Comet in Moominland.  Other season highlights include: The National Theatre of Scotland's The Wolves in the Walls, based on the book by Neil Gaiman with illustrations by Dave McKean; a new version of Rapunzel, presented by the UK's Kneehigh Theater; a holiday show by the Chinese group Golden Dragon Acrobats; a slam poetry presentation by Mayhem Poets of New Jersey; a performance by Chicago's Luna Negra Dance Theater; and the French juggling show IJK, which closes out the season in May of '08.  Fourteen productions will be presented in all

Lithgow won a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in David Storey's The Changing Room in 1973. Since then he has appeared in major roles in My Fat Friend, Trelawney of the "Wells", Comedians, Anna Christie, M.Butterfly, Beyond Therapy, Bedroom Farce, The Front Page and The Retreat from Moscow. His musicals include Sweet Smell of Success (for which he won a second Tony award) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. His film credits include The World According to Garp, Terms of Endearment, All That Jazz, Shrek, Kinsey and most recently, Dreamgirls.  His most successful TV role of Dr Dick Solomon in the comedy series "Third Rock from the Sun" ran for six years and won him a Golden Globe, two SAG awards and The American Comedy Award.  He is also the author of best selling children's books.
