Pittsburgh CLO has amassed an impressive lineup of Broadway stars and Pittsburgh CLO veterans to bring the 2018 Summer Season to life June-August. The organization's core mission to produce shows locally helps to employ artists each year from Pittsburgh and across the country.

 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame members, Steve Goetzman, Marlon Hargis, J.P. Pennington, Sonny LeMaire and Les Taylor - better known as the crossover hit-making band, Exile, are celebrating a distinguished career and anniversary of 55 years as a self-contained vocal band. On Friday, May 11, the band was surprised with a special honor at the 2018 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for reaching the unprecedented milestone. The band previously had received the highest honor bestowed by the organization in 2013, when they were inducted as members of the prestigious hall. The International Festival of Arts & Ideas today announced complete details for Festival 2018, which opens on June 9 and continues for two weeks through June23 in New Haven, Connecticut.

dick clark productions and NBC today announced nominees for the "2018 Billboard Music Awards," which will honor the year's most successful artists in 57 categories of music.  Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran lead the pack with 15 nominations each, followed by Post Malone with 13, Imagine Dragons with 11, Drake with 9 and Justin Bieber and Cardi B with 8. The "2018 Billboard Music Awards" will broadcast LIVE coast to coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.

Broadway comes to Ridgefield! Broadway's hottest talents will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the Stevie Wonder, accompanied by a 7-piece jazz band playing original orchestrations of his music in Broadway Sings Stevie Wonder at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Monday, May 14 at 7pm, part of the Ridgefield Magazine Broadway & Cabaret Series and partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa

TILTED WINDMILLS THEATRICALS (John Arthur Pinckard & David Carpenter) will present OVERHEARD AT JOE'S - the interactive, improvisational, theatre experience set in your local bar, created by Christian Kelty - at McHale's Bar and Grill (251 West 51st Street) starting on Sunday, April 22. Every performance includes a special musical guest; Michelle Shocked, the Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter, will be featured through Tuesday, May 1.

Broadway favorites Ben Fankhauser, Paige Faure, Corey Mach, and Sydney Morton are among the artists headed to the Ridgefield Playhouse on May 14 to sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the Stevie Wonder, accompanied by a 7-piece jazz band playing original orchestrations of his music. The concert will give tribute to this soul icon, putting new twists on his legendary songs including "Superstition", "Sir Duke", For Once In My Life", and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered". The music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.

By popular demand, the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture brings back its 'Mambo Memories' concert, a tribute to the Palladium Ballroom era of the 1950s with a performance featuring a wide array of singers and dancers on Saturday, April 21st, 7:30 PM in the Main Theater at the Hostos Center, Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse, in the Bronx. A dance follows at 9:30 PM in the Hostos Cafe with Salsa Warrior DJ Roy spinning mambo favorites.

REPRISE 2.0 is now announced, presenting a season of three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, by Marcia Seligson, Producing Artistic Director of the new performing arts organization.  REPRISE 2.0 is partnering with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT), chaired by Brian Kite.

Formed in 1978 against the fertile musical backdrop of Los Angeles' South Bay scene (see: Black Flag, Minutemen, SST Records, etc.), the caffeine-addled crew released their first 7' single 'Ride The Wild' as a trio in 1979. Not long after, the boys recruited one Milo Aukerman (microbiology Ph.D. in waiting and poster boy for adolescent ne'er-do-well alienation) for vocal duties.
