The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF) honors the great French composer Michel Legrand, who died in January this year, with a special Cin Salon series devoted to his life and work. Curated by one of his longtime collaborators and greatest interpreters, singer and actress Melissa Errico, Summer of Michel Legrand brings together seven of his films from his best known triumphs such as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort to lesser known gems such as the enchanting fairy-tale musical Donkey Skin. Screenings take place on Tuesdays in July at 4pm and 7:30pm in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Carnegie Hall presents two performances of We Chose to Go to the Moon—a music and multimedia presentation that reignites the unforgettable moments of the historic mission—on Tuesday evening, July 16 and Saturday evening, July 20 in Zankel Hall, created and narrated by historian John Monsky.

Royal Family Productions will present a special invite-only reading of the musical Rock and Roll Refugee. The head of the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills came to see DREAMGIRLS, produced by Michael Pettenato and directed/choreographed by Tor Campbell at the 180-seat Cupcake Theater in North Hollywood earlier this year, and believed they absolutely could not let the brilliant show end without giving people on the Westside a chance to see it. And who were they to say no? Under Pettenato's care, the group packed up 450 costumes and boxes of wigs, and headed to Beverly Hills for a one-night only show on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

“Elegy For A Lady” is a tiny fragment of a play lasting no more than forty minutes, but also an insight into the mind of American playwright Arthur Miller.  Instead of being performed in a traditional theater, Bob Paisley and Heidi Van inhabit their characters inside a tiny lady's boutique in the Crossroads among, rather than in front of, a tiny audience of about twenty people.

On Friday, October 5, Amazon Prime Video will premiere season three of the Emmy Award-winning Prime Original series The Man in the High Castle. Prime Video has released the official trailer for the new season, which features up and coming Berlin-based artist Lxandra's reimagining of U2's hit song 'Pride (In the Name of Love).' This is the first time that U2 has allowed 'Pride (In the Name of Love)' to be covered and used commercially. Lxandra's cover will be available for purchase on Amazon Prime Music and other digital music services.
