MasterVoices will hold its Fall Gala and Concert, featuring the THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE; OR, THE SLAVE OF DUTY at Le Parker Meridian and the New York City Center on October 15, 2015.

CHARLES BUSCH, author and star of such plays as Psycho Beach Party, Times Square Angel, The Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset, You Should Be So Lucky, Shanghai Moon and The Divine Sister brings his iconic Cabaret stylings to The COPA Palm Springs for two 'sure to be sell-out' performances, October 16 and 17 at 8:00 pm.   Born in New York City, he began his theatrical career shortly after graduating from Northwestern University in 1976.  After spending two years in Chicago working with different local theatre companies, he returned to his home town of New York City with a solo play called Hollywood Confidential, which he performed as a weekend late show at Charles Ludlam's Ridiculous Theatrical Company's theatre at One Sheridan Square. 

Perfect for the fall and Halloween season, 3-D Theatricals' (3-DT) of Orange County will present the two-time Tony Award winning musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY, based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams.

The Dramatists Guild Fund with TeCo Theatrical Productions will present A Conversation with Terrence McNally (MASTER CLASS, CORPUS CHRISTI, RAGTIME, KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN) as part of DGF's Traveling Masters Program tonight, October 8 2015 7:30 PM at The Bishop Arts Theatre Center in Dallas, TX.

New York City Center adds second performance of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun: In Concert starring Megan Hilty on Wednesday, October 28 at 7:30pm. The previously announced performance on October 27 is part of City Center's annual Gala. Three years after starring in the Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Megan Hilty returns to City Center as Annie Oakley in this concert staging of Irving Berlin's classic 1946 musical. Hilty will be joined by a Tony-honored cast including Andy Karl, Chuck Cooper, Judy Kaye, Brad Oscar, and Ron Raines.

A talking donkey, a singing ogre, a feisty princess, a sassy cookie, tap dancing rats, and a striking band of  misfit fairytale characters will be working their magic for children of all ages when Reston Community Players opens its 49th season with the Tony Award-winning fairytale adventure Shrek The Musical, October 16-November 17.

A memorial tribute will be held for Roger Rees, the legendary Tony Award-winning actor, and Tony Award nominated director, today, September 21 at 1:00 PM at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 W 42nd Street, NYC). 

Producers Michael Alden, George DeMarco, Frank Evans and Jack Lechner announced today that they will present a private reading of the new musical DATE OF A LIFETIME on Thursday, September 17th. Four time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls) serves as Creative Consultant. Date of a Lifetime features a book and lyrics by Carl Kissin and music by Rob Baumgartner, Jr.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

Lyric Music Theater of South Portland opened its 2015-16 season with the wacky musical The Addams Family, which examines the flip side of normal in the zany antics of a ghoulish family made famous by the Charles Addams comic strip, as well as various television and screen incarnations. The show, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, book by Marshall Brickman/Ricky Elice, offers a cast of crazy misfits, a script with wickedly macabre humor, and a series of musical numbers that are rousing, exotic, sometimes even romantic. Lyric Music Theater's elaborate production attempts to do the piece full justice, though it succeeds more in the individual moments than in the whole.

Award-winning Broadway composer Andrew Lippa, who was the 2010-2011 Composer in Residence at Texas State, will return to Texas State to perform a concert of music from his shows along side students from the musical theater program and Broadway veteran Kaitlin Hopkins (Bat Boy, Bare) at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Texas State University on October 17th at 7:30pm. There will also be a silent auction in the lobby of signed Film, TV and Theatre Memorabilia including scripts, photos and posters. All proceeds from the concert will go to scholarships for students in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Academy Award-winning actor Jim Broadbent makes his long-awaited return to the stage to play Scrooge in a new version of A Christmas Carol adapted by Patrick Barlow from Charles Dickens' classic story of greed, grief, ghoulish ghosts and eleventh-hour redemption.

?SoLuna Studio will produce a special Halloween performance of THE ADDAMS FAMILY as a part their professional mainstage season at 8pm on Saturday, October 31st. The show will have other performances October 9th-November 1st.

Among them, the company can claim 18 Tony Awards, 4 Pulitzer Prizes, 6 Pulitzer finalist distinctions, 3 Emmy Awards, and 2 Academy Awards; to list all their honors would take several pages.
