Soluna Studio to Produce THE ADDAMS FAMILY

SoLuna Studio will produce a special Halloween performance of THE ADDAMS FAMILY as a part their professional mainstage season at 8pm on Saturday, October 31st. The show will have other performances October 9th-November 1st.

Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for children, students and seniors and $20 for adults. At the door, tickets for children, students and seniors are $20 each and $25 for adults. Anyone who comes in costume to the Saturday October 31st performance will receive $5 off their ticket price at the door! Group rates are also available. About THE ADDAMS FAMILY

THE ADDAMS FAMILY is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The show is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. Numerous film and television adaptations of Addams' cartoons exist, but the musical is the first stage show based on the beloved characters.

The family-friendly musical features an original story in which Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents.

The show opened on Broadway in April 2010, featuring Nathan Lane as Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia. THE ADDAMS FAMILY won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design and the Broadway.com Audience Awards for Favorite New Broadway Musical, Favorite Performance by a Featured Actor in a Broadway Musical (Kevin Chamberlin), Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Krysta Rodriguez), and Favorite Onstage Pair (Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth). THE ADDAMS FAMILY also won two 2010 Tony Awards and received a nomination for Best Musical. On February 13, 2011, it won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
