The New York Philharmonic will present The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev on April 21-May 8, 2010. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.

For over 80 years, the name Martha Graham has been synonymous with American modern dance. Performing some of Graham's classic works, including 'Appalachian Spring,' this internationally acclaimed company, called 'one of the seven wonders of the artistic universe' by the Washington Post, celebrates both the past and future of this distinctly American art form.

Television and film star Zach Quinto is expected to star in the upcoming George Gershwin biopic, produced by DreamWorks and Steven Speilberg, according to published reports. Quinto, star of television's 'Heroes' and the recent JJ Abrams Star Trek remake, will play the famed composer who, during his short life, wrote many vocal and theatrical works, including more than a dozen Broadway shows.
