The production runs June 24th to September 6th, 2014, with an official opening set for June 28.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its season with the World Premiere of The Gospel of Lovingkindness by Victory Gardens Ensemble Playwright Marcus Gardley, directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Now, Disney Theatrical Productions has confirmed that Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will play its pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre(formerly the Canon) November 13, 2013 to January 12, 2014 and will open at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014. The show will feature music by Alan Menken; lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin with a book by Beguelin. Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph.

A cooperative of NYC-based cutting-edge experimental theater companies and artists will present their work throughout July as part of the 2012 undergroundzero festival (Paul Bargetto, Artistic Director, Connie Hall, Executive Director). The festival will take place June 29-July 29 on 5 stages in the East Village and Brooklyn and outdoor sites throughout lower Manhattan. Weekly parties, panels, and new play readings will happen at festival headquarters: the legendary Living Theatre.

Earlier this week, Two Boots Pizza in Hell's Kitchen (9th Ave. and 44th St.) unveiled their new pizza inspired by GODSPELL. The GODSPELL pizza contains casear chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic and jalapeño pesto on a white pie.
