Moonlight Stage Productions concludes its 30th Anniversary Summer Season at the Moonlight Amphitheatre with the international sensation MISS SAIGON. Performances are September 8-25 at 7:30 pm. The UK Daily Mail reports that Michael Ball will soon see theatre from a different angle. Ball has decided to assume the role of producer for the first time with LOVE STORY, a musical adaptation of the Erich Segal novel. His investment is estimated to be close to £250,000.

According to The Sun ITV has signed on a new daytime talk show for Michael Ball, the show will be entitled 'The Michael Ball Show.'

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 135 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. Those who accept the invitation will be the only additions in 2010 to the Academy's roster of voting members. Included in this year's list are Tony Award nominees James Gandolfini (GOD OF CARNAGE) and Anna Kendrick (HIGH SOCIETY), Drama Desk nominee Carey Mulligan (THE SEAGULL), director Adam Shankman ('Hairspray'), and musicians Bono & The Edge (SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK).

Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts Theaterfest is pleased to present the American Premiere of My Fairytale, a musical about Hans Christian Andersen. Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. The Story Pirates will present a special version of their musical sketch comedy show in which celebrity guests bring to life stories written by kids who are in the audience. Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) will co-chair and perform at the event and John Oliver (Community, The Daily Show) will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
