BENIDORM - LIVE to Play New Alexandra Theatre Next Christmas

Derren Litten's smash hit ITV comedy BENIDORM is set to bring sunshine and smiles to the UK and Ireland as the first ever stage version of the ITV comedy marks its world premiere at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle from Friday 7 September 2018 and opens at Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre for a fun-filled Christmas season from the 3 to 29 December 2018. The show will be produced for the stage by Michael Harrison and David Ian.

Urban Stages, Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director, will kick-off its 34th season with the World Premiere of Zhu Yi's A DEAL, directed by John Giampietro. This limited engagement at Urban Stages (259 West 30th Street), begins performances on November 15, opens on Monday, November 20 and will run through December 10, 2017. The works are Bryan Arias' The Sky Seen From the Moon; Gentian Doda's This Silence; Roy Assaf's 25 People; and Gustavo Ramirez Sansano's A Thousand Thoughts.

Pasadena Symphony presents Larger Than Life Program in November

The Pasadena Symphony continues its 90th season on Saturday, November 18th with Mozart Symphony No. 41. Jupiter at Ambassador Auditorium with performances at 2pm and 8pm. Music Director David Lockington will lead a musical voyage around Europe with this tour de force program celebrating three musical giants. Rossini's bright and breezy Barber of Seville overture opens the program, with St. Saens' 2nd Piano Concerto topped off by Mozart's last masterpiece his Symphony No. 41, Jupiter. Named for the King of the Roman gods, known for his joviality, exuberance and great strength, Mozart's final symphony carries the majestic first movement through to an overpoweringly triumphant finish pure exhilaration.

NJSO Chamber Players Perform Aaron Jay Kernis String Quartet

Members of the NJSO Chamber Players will perform the Aaron Jay Kernis string quartet that the composer later orchestrated as Musica celestis in a special NJSO Accent event with Kernis on Friday, October 13, at 6:45 pm at the Richardson Auditorium in Princeton. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's 8 pm concert includes the NJSO premiere of Kernis' ethereal work for string orchestra.
