American Composers Orchestra continues its commitment to the creation and development of new orchestral music with the announcement of sixteen emerging composers who will participate in its catalytic programs. Six emerging composers will participate in the 27th Annual Underwood New Music Readings on June 21-22, 2018 at a location to be announced. Ten emerging composers receive 2018 EarShot New Music Readings presented by Fort Wayne Philharmonic (February 7, 2018), Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (March 1, 2018), and Jacksonville Symphony (April 20, 2018). EarShot is a partnership between American Composers Orchestra, League of American Orchestras, American Composers Forum, and New Music USA.

The first U.S. National tour of the hit musical THE BODYGUARD, will play the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts from April 10 - 15. Tickets are on sale now.

Conceived by artists Lara Almarcegui, Isabel Lewis, and Santiago Cirugeda-led architecture studio Recetas Urbanas, 'Basilea' encourages reflection on a city's possibilities through a series of immersive projects connecting the City of Basel, its residents, and the over 90,000 fairgoers who attend the Basel fair annually. A Creative Time project commissioned by Art Basel, 'Basilea' will open to the public on May 23, culminating the week of Art Basel. The project marks Creative Time's first international public commission and the first collaboration between the artists. Art Basel, whose Lead Partner is UBS, will take place at Messe Basel from June 14 to June 17, 2018.

In commemoration of Debussy in the centennial of his death, Music Director Rossen Milanov and the Columbus Symphony reveal a world of impressionistic wonder in this program that includes two of Debussy's most iconic works-Nocturnes featuring the Columbus Symphony Women's Chorus and La Mer. The program also includes Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 performed by special guest pianist Simone Dinnerstein, and the world premiere of a new commission by composer Saad Haddad titled Risala,

The Pasadena Symphony continues its 90th season on Saturday, March 24th with Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini at Ambassador Auditorium with performances at 2pm and 8pm.  Music Director David Lockington will lead this mesmerizing program filled with mystery and intrigue, opening with Alexander Miller's contemporary puzzle overture Scherzo Crypto, and closing with an even more cryptic work - the Enigma Variations of Elgar. The program centers around a classic Rachmaninoff melody, with his virtuosic Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini performed by brilliant pianist Andrew von Oeyen.

Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana celebrates its 35th anniversary season with a program of new works featuring the New York premiere of Mujeres Valientes by internationally renowned flamenco artist Belén Maya and dances by three up-and-coming choreographers from Spain: Emilio Ochando, José Maldonado, and Guadalupe Torres. Music Director Thierry Fischer and President & CEO Paul Meecham today announced the Utah Symphony's 2018-19 season, with highlights including the live recording of a Berlioz album for Hyperion Records, semi-staged performances of Bernstein's "Candide" in celebration of the composer's centennial, and a cycle of Bach's six Brandenburg Concertos paired with works by the late composer Pierre Boulez. American composer Andrew Norman will be in Salt Lake City as Composer-in-Association for performances of his works and additional activities.

Entering the sixth decade of a noted global career, pianist Misha Dichter will be presented by the Key Pianists concert series on Wednesday evening, February 21st, 2018 at 7:30 pm at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Dichter's program will feature solo piano works by Schubert and Scriabin; he will be joined by his wife-pianist Cipa Dichter-in piano duets by Schubert and Copland.

Music Director Carlos Miguel Prieto will lead the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in its Carnegie Hall debut on Tuesday, February 27 at 8:00 PM in Stern Auditorium.
