Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present the gallery's debut solo exhibition for Los Angeles-based photographer Catherine Opie. For the occasion, two concurrent exhibitions will be on view at the gallery's Chelsea and Lower East Side locations, featuring new work by Opie that underscores her on-going dialogue with the history of photography and constructs of identity, both integral aspects of her practice. The artist will be present for opening receptions at both galleries tonight, January 14 from 6-8PM.

he Public Theaterannounced complete casting today for the new musical SOUTHERN COMFORT that tells the true story of a group of transgender friends living life on their own terms in the back hills of rural Georgia.  Directed by Thomas Caruso and based on the film by Kate Davis, SOUTHERN COMFORT features book and lyrics by Dan Collins and music by Julianne Wick Davis, and was conceived for the stage by Robert DuSold and Thomas Caruso. SOUTHERN COMFORT begins previews on Tuesday, February 23 and will run through Sunday, March 27 in The Public's Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Monday, March 7. Public Theater Member tickets and single tickets are available now.

COSTA MESA, CA – Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the return of Les Ballets de Monte- Carlo February 11 – 13, 2016 with another American premiere: Jean-Christophe Maillot's Choré, featuring music by Danny Elfman and John Cage. Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo appears at the Center under the Presidency of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover. This marks the Ballets' third visit to the Center, having previously brought the Southern California premiere the company's Cinderella and the American premiere of LAC.
