The Rubin Museum of Art has announced its first exhibition of 2020, 'Measure Your Existence,' a new group show organized by guest curator of contemporary art, Christine Starkman. Opening February 7, 2020, the exhibition will feature six contemporary artists who address the fleeting nature of existence through performance, installation, film, sculpture, and photography.

Producer Mark Cortale's Broadway concert series, hosted and music directed by Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky, will return to San Francisco for the 2020 season at the Herbst Theatre in the iconic San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center. Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center has announced the national tour of Come From Away, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its Houston debut at the Hobby Center for a limited engagement March 3 - 8, 2020. Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced Ben McKenzie (Ben) will complete the cast of Bess Wohl's GRAND HORIZONS. The production will mark his Broadway debut.

Sundance Institute announced today two support tracks for artists from underrepresented communities, continuing the Institute's commitment to fostering inclusive artistic visions. Announced today are the eight members of the second class of the Momentum Fellowship, a full-year program of deep, customized creative and professional support for writers, directors, and producers from underrepresented communities who are poised to take the next step in their careers, working across documentary and feature filmmaking, and episodic content. Sundance Institute also announced the four awardees of the inaugural Launch Grant Fund, a new opportunity for emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities launching their first feature film.

Walnut Street Theatre (WST) continues its 211th season with the hilarious Broadway hit, SHREK THE MUSICAL. Directed by Glenn Casale and choreographed by Robbie Roby, the production begins previews on November 5, opens November 13, and continues through January 5 on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Directed by award-winning director/author/actress Adelina Anthony, opening is set for Friday, October 4, at 8pm. The run will continue through October 27 in the Davidson/Valentini Theatre.

The Old Globe continues to make theatre matter to more people by inviting everyone to enjoy three unique productions of original work developed through coLAB, a program developed by the Department of Arts Engagement. coLAB unites community and artists to develop unique participatory theatre. Having the perspective of participants at the forefront of the storytelling experience is central to this artistic collaboration. Community members work with an artist over several months developing stories. The culmination of the work is a presentation with a community partner organization of a public performance and celebration. These productions take on many forms but always feature the stories and perspectives of the participants.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.
