Hip-hop and burgers join forces as McDonald's USA today announces the launch of its 2013-2014 Flavor Battle competition. The 13-week national DJ competition challenges some of America's hottest up-and-coming mix masters to show off and prove they are the best on the 1s and 2s. Twelve DJs, each representing a U.S. region and one of McDonald's new Quarter Pounder burgers the Bacon and Cheese Quarter Pounder* (East Coast), Deluxe Quarter Pounder (Central) and Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder (West Coast) will battle it out for DJ supremacy. Now in its fifth year, the competition has garnered recognition from hip-hop elites, such as DJ Funkmaster Flex, who will serve as this year's host.

Directing the season opener, Hank Williams: Lost Highway (October 11-November 3, 2013) will be Michael Serrecchia. The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) (December 13- January 5, 2014) will be directed by Robin Armstrong. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (January 24-February 16, 2014) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks. Producers Jeffrey Richards and John N. Hart Jr., in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced that the box office will open on Thursday, August 8th for the 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) with performances beginning Thursday, September 5, 2013, and an opening night set for Thursday, September 26th. The production will star multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J.
