Casting was announced today for the HighTide production of Al Smith's debut play Harrogate. Nigel Lindsay joins Sarah Ridgeway, who starred in the original production at HighTide Festival 2015, for the London premiere at the Royal Court Theatre from 20 - 29 October and UK Tour. Richard Twyman, the newly appointed Artistic Director of English Touring Theatre, returns to direct Harrogate, which had an acclaimed sell-out run at the influential annual HighTide Festival in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

Opening Night is Thursday, October 6.

Dick King-Smith's BABE, THE SHEEP-PIG Returns to the Stage

Adapted from Dick King-Smith's much-loved children's novel which inspired the Oscar-winning 1995 film, Babe, The Sheep-Pig will be brought to life on stage in an enchanting new production, embarking on a major UK Tour in 2017 following a Christmas season at Polka Theatre. Featuring stunning puppetry, an original score and an utterly charming 'baa-ber sheep' quartet, the tour will launch from West Yorkshire Playhouse on Monday 13 February and run until September 2017. Expectations are high -- The Theater Project had previously produced CROWNS in 2010, so "In 2016, we expect to raise the roof at each and every performance in Maplewood," says artistic director Mark Spina. "The music in CROWNS makes you want to join right in - and people do!"   The production, made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, begins its four-week run September 29.

The Triangle Rising Stars Live Showcase and Awards show will take place at DPAC on Monday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. starring the student finalists from Triangle-area high school musical productions. Triangle Rising Stars is a non-profit education initiative created in 2010 to celebrate high school theater students who participate and excel with wide -ranging talents in their musical productions.
