Following a successful summer run of Aaron Posner's play Life Sucks, Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues this fall with a production of BRIGHT HALF LIFE by playwright Tanya Barfield. Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director, Ilana Becker, will direct the play, which runs Sept. 27-Oct. 14, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

Building on the critical success of his 2011 production of Harold Pinter's Old Times, STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will return to the British playwright's gripping realm of doubt and disquiet to direct a double bill of short plays. Druid Theatre will remount Martin McDonagh's sensational, award-winning dark comedy, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, at BAM's Harvey Theater (651 Fulton St.) this winter.

Palm Beach Gardens will add live theatre to its ever-growing cultural landscape when the PGA Arts Center opens its doors in late January.  Veteran producers Philip Roger Roy and Dana Matthow have taken a multi-year lease on the PGA Cinemas, located at 4076 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, and are in the process of converting two of the building's six auditoria to accommodate live productions. The two theatres will seat 260 and 280 patrons respectively.  They plan to adapt a third space - which will seat approximately 160, and be available for rentals - within the next year.

NBC's Sunday Night Football -- primetime television's No. 1 show -- continues this week with an AFC West clash, as the Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) aim to clinch a playoff berth with a win against the rival Denver Broncos (8-6) on Christmas Night at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, Dec. 25, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Public Theater has announced a final extension today for the first major New York revival of PLENTY, written by David Hare. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, the show began performances on Tuesday, November 4 and was originally extended through Sunday, November 20. It will now run through Thursday, December 1, with an official press opening Sunday, October 23.
