The much-loved and acclaimed Baroque Theatre Company have now embarked on their summer tour which will see them perform a Comedy Triple Bill in a staggering 28 venues across England. The tour, which opened on Friday 5th May, continues until Sunday 30th July 2017.

The new musical, ANASTASIA, opens tonight on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), produced by Stage Entertainment, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky), Tom Kirdahy (It's Only A Play, The Visit) and Hunter Arnold (Kinky Boots, Spring Awakening). The company is led by Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Ramin Karimloo, Caroline O'Connor and Mary Beth Peil.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) has announced the 2017 MAC Award nominees.

Set against a backdrop of Manhattan decadence and 1920's excess, The Wild Party tells the story of Queenie and Burrs, a Vaudeville showgirl and a Vaudeville clown whose relationship is marked by vicious behaviour and recklessness. In an attempt to salvage their toxic union, they decide to throw a party to end all parties.

The Alley Theatre announces an added Late Night Preview featuring excerpts from the new musical Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers by Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik. Full casting is announced today for Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party, which receives its first major London production at The Other Palace, playing from Monday 13 February to Saturday 1 April 2017, with a press night on Monday 20 February.

The Boxcar Children is coming to Laguna! The Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre presents this production on-stage beginning Friday, November 11 through Sunday November 20 at the Laguna Playhouse Moulton Theatre, The Boxcar Children will be directed by Bethanie Knieser, with musical direction by Mark Turnbull.

Two books in the University Press of Kentucky's Screen Classics series have been named award finalists by the Theatre Library Association.Ziegfeld and His Follies: A Biography of Broadway's Greatest Producer by Cynthia Brideson and Sara Brideson was one of ten finalists for the George Freedley Memorial Award for an exemplary work in the field of live theatre or performance. SHUFFLE ALONG will play its final Broadway performance today, July 24, 2016, the day six-time Tony-winning star Audra McDonald was already set to depart the production for a multi-month maternity leave. SHUFFLE ALONG began performances on March 15, 2016 and officially opened on April 28 at the Music Box Theatre. It will have played 38 previews and 100 regular performances by the time it ends.
