According to a report by TV Guide, ABC is developing a television series based on Sakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. The small screen adaptation will focus on the traditional story of two star-crossed lovers torn apart by feuding families, according to an ABC rep.

The new play by Luigi Creatore officially opened on Monday, August 30th for a limited engagement through October 10th.
