Primary Stages, in association with Catherine Adler, Jamie deRoy, and David Richenthal, has announced complete casting for the first show of the 2016/17 season, THE ROADS TO HOME, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Horton Foote (Harrison, TX).

For their inaugural offering, Great Circle Productions will present the world premiere of EDWIN, The Story of Edwin Booth, a dramatic musical that commemorates the 150th Anniversary (1866-2016) of the legendary actor's return to the stage, as well as the 400th Anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare, with music by Marianna Rosett, and book & lyrics by Eric Swanson.

LISA CHALMERS-NAUMANN and PHILLIP BROOMHEAD will be members of the faculty for the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive from August 1-5, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Music Director Riccardo Muti returns to Chicago in April for three weeks of concerts and activities April 7-26 during the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's 125th anniversary season.  Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) explore music by Berlioz, Tchaikovsky and Verdi inspired by the works of William Shakespeare in three programs featuring internationally acclaimed soloists as part of the CSO's celebration of Shakespeare in music during a year that marks the 400th anniversary of the Bard's death.

National Geographic Channel (NGC) announced today that visionary Mexican filmmaker Everardo Gout (“Days of Grace”) has been tapped to direct the network's six-hour documentary-scripted hybrid miniseries, MARS.

The full cast is announced for the final production in the Coronet's spring season, DEATHWATCH, from April 11 to May 7. This new Print Room production of Jean Genet's powerful and provocative first play, in a translation by David Rudkin, marks its first major revival in almost 30 years. Deathwatch stars Danny Lee Wynter, Joseph Quinn, Tom Varey and Emma Naomi, and is directed by Geraldine Alexander, who received critical acclaim for the direction of her own play, Amygdala, at The Print Room's former space in 2013. The Coronet is also working with playwright David Rudkin on complementary activity around the production.
