The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is once again offering audience members a dazzling, star-packed lineup of amazing shows, memorable concerts, insightful lectures and very special events during the months of March and April.

WP Theater and The Bushwick Starr, in association with New Georges, are pleased to announce that due to popular demand, [PORTO], the upside-down romantic comedy written by Obie Award Winner Kate Benson (Super Magic Wild Forest, Desert) and directed by Obie Award winner Lee Sunday Evans (Bull in a China Shop, Caught), will extend. Previously scheduled through February 25,[PORTO] will now play its final performance on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at WP Theater (2162 Broadway).

The Old Globe today announced that its 2018-2019 Season will kick off with the world premiere of the new musical Heart of Rock and Roll, inspired by the songs of Huey Lewis and the News, featuring a book by Jonathan Abrams and story by Tyler Mitchell and Jonathan Abrams. It will be directed by Gordon Greenberg with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Brian Usifer. Heart of Rock and Roll will bepresented by special arrangement with Tyler Mitchell, W. Leo Kiely, Bill Kiely, Whitney Kiely Moehle, and Tamar Climan. Directed by Andrew Barnicle, this regional-theater hit is a sequel to Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice', and reunites its characters to place the bookish middle sister, Mary Bennet, in the limelight. The production will debut today, November 30, and will run until December 17, 2017.

As previously reported, Epic Theatre Company's production of 'James Franco and Me' written by Kevin Broccoli cancelled its New York production, originally slated to go up in August, after the venue at which the play was to be performed received a cease and desist letter from Franco's lawyers. The playwright, Broccoli, began working with his own lawyers to respond to the cease and desist. Their letter, which has been emailed to Franco's attorneys as of today, September 27, can be read in full below. Broccoli and his lawyers are waiting on a response from Franco's legal team.
