2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center (DTC), in association with the Theatre Division of Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University (SMU), presents Frankenstein at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Directed by DTC's Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell, Frankenstein begins on Feb. 2 and runs through March 4. Patrick Ignatius' house is being foreclosed. Although he has not lived there for many years, he returns to Cleveland to find something. Frank and Casey are the movers assigned to empty the house. Patrick appeals to them to let him stay for one more night, to find that particular something he thought was long gone. With the help of a deranged street urchin named Mouse, Patrick pulls apart the house, attempting to find what he seeks, but uncovering ghosts and truths long buried. And it's a comedy.

Today's subject Kimberly Schraf is currently living her theatre life at Ford's Theatre portraying one of the best known female roles in the American Theatre. Not only does Kimberly give a superb performance as Linda Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, she does so with Craig Wallace as Willy Loman. Wallece is her partner in life as well as onstage. Her once-in-a-lifetime performance can be seen through October 22nd.

The world premiere of a spanking new version of the Tim Rice musical comedy Blondel gets its London premiere at the Union Theatre, now through Saturday 15 July. Press night is tonight 23 June 2017.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects across the country in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $30,000 to Dallas Theater Center (DTC) to support the upcoming world-premiere production of Hood: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure. The NEA received 1,728 Art Works applications and will make 1,029 grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.

Producers have announced the cast for the world premiere of a spanking new version of the Tim Rice musical comedy Blondel.

A brand new version of the Tim Rice musical comedy Blondel, which follows the trials and triumphs of an ambitious minstrel in King Richard the Lionheart's court, will get its London premiere at the Union Theatre from Wednesday 21 June - Saturday 15 July.

Hand to God premiered at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City in October 2011 and returned in February 2012. It opened Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on March 14, 2014 and made its Broadway debut at the Boothe Theatre on April 7, 2015.

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Hamilton: An American Musical stars Sydney James Harcourt and Elizabeth Judd will headline Centerstage 2017: Revolution and Revelry on Saturday, May 6. Chaired by Mickie and Jeff Bragalone, with Honorary Chairs Linda and Bill Custard, Centerstage 2017 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening.
