As I read the pre-publicity and then the first reviews of the new film, Lovelace, which chronicles the disturbing story of the woman who in 1972 starred in the highest-grossing porn film of all time, it reminded me of a time in college when I really got myself in deep because of Deep Throat.

Amid the busy travelers stopping by for their quick fix of Jamaican paradise, there are lifelong locals who call the island home. Blind to tourist eyes is a place where families gather for Jamaican jerk barbeques, kids venture out to explore the lively coral reef, and adults laze away the afternoon under the shade of a mango tree. This is the familiar way of Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International, and his growing multi-generational family. Sundown Villa, a private home set in the historic fishing village of idyllic Discovery Bay, is the venue for many of their fond memories. In 1976, Stewart discovered a Caribbean cottage by the sea and envisioned the small two bedroom retreat as the place where he would pass on his love of Jamaica and the sea to his family. It has since expanded to a nine bedroom compound, accommodating the ever-growing Stewart clan and continuing to serve as the central location for their gatherings and annual holiday vacations. A part of Your Jamaican Villas, Sundown Villa's recent enhancements elevate the property and allow it to accommodate the largest villa vacation groups in all of Discovery Bay.
