Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. Enrollment is open until June 17 and fans can sign up for the course at musicals.tcm.com.

Just announced, Manhattan Theatre Club will produce the world premiere of Sugar in Our Wounds, a new play by Donja R. Love and directed by Saheem Ali (Twelfth Night for the Public Theater's Mobile Unit), as part of MTC's upcoming 2017-2018 season.

The early music virtuosi of TENET return to Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) this season with The Sounds of Time, an exploration of 12th and 13th century songs by the French trouveres. The program is presented in Queens on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at King Manor Museum and on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Church Riverdale in the Bronx. Takao Osawa, the multi-award-winning actor and star of one of Japan's most popular television series JIN, will join the cast of THE KING AND I to play the Kralahome, trusted adviser to The King of Siam, when the smash hit musical transfers from Broadway to the London Palladium for "London's theatrical event of 2018" (Daily Express) on 21 June (Press Night 3 July).
