On 31 December 2020 Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Andrzej Boreyko will be presenting a New Year's Eve concert! They will perform work by Dvořák, Szpilman the Strausses, and the first contemporary performance of the Polonaise in B-flat Major, Op. 20 by Roman Statkowski, dedicated to Emil Młynarski and his wife.

According to this reviewer's admittedly casual bit of Googling, the first Broadway production based on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' was playwright Alice Gerstenberg's version, which opened at the Booth in 1915. But undoubtedly there were many other variations before then.

Curiouser and curiouser, and groovier: a classic of children's literature hits the dance floor in Disco Alice: The Wonderland Remix, an original adaptation performed by Perseverance Theatre's Young Company, March 1-3 and 8-10 in the Phoenix Theatre (Black Box). The Tempel Lipizzans, the world's largest privately-owned herd of Lipizzan horses, welcomes horses and riders from Chile-based Escuela Clasica Lipizzana, Latin America's first and only Lipizzan herd, to participate in Tempel Lipizzans' 60th anniversary celebration. Throughout the month of July 2018, the "Lipizzans of the Americas" will together present equestrian dressage performances as part of the Tempel Lipizzans regular summer performance season. Escuela Clasica Lipizzana will also appear with the Tempel Lipizzans at their 60th Anniversary Gala Celebration on Saturday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. Tempel Lipizzans perform at pastoral Tempel Farms, located just north of Chicago in Old Mill Creek, IL.

The Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra offered another of its wildly successful pop up concert series at the Bank of Hawaii headquarters downtown on March 28. Joseph Stepec, Assistant Professor of Music at The University of Hawaii at Manoa, Director of Orchestras, conducted the free concert, which received thunderous applause throughout the event.

The Maine State Ballet unveiled its charming, colorful production of Alice in Wonderland this weekend in Falmouth to the delight of its multi-generational audience. The lavish and lovely production with choreography by Linda MacArthur Miele is faithful to Lewis Carroll's tale and brings to life the author's principal characters.

Maine State Ballet takes you down the rabbit hole this spring with a three week run of the comic ballet, Alice in Wonderland, March 23 through April 8, at Maine State Ballet's Lopez Theater.

The internationally renowned Lar Lubovitch Dance Company celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring with two programs at The Joyce Theater featuring the world premiere of Lar Lubovitch's Something About Night as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and principals from The Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year. Performances are at The Joyce Theater April 17–22, 2018 (Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm).

Bedlam's production of SENSE AND SENSIBILITY opened at American Repertory Theater on December 10th and runs through January 14th.

The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company announces its 50th anniversary season at The Joyce Theater in New York City, April 17 22, 2018. The season will feature the world premiere of Wanderers as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory, including Men's Stories: A Concerto in Ruin (2000), performed by Lubovitch's acclaimed Company of dancers. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and dancers from the Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) joins the Bay Area's celebration of Lou Harrison's centennial with a birthday concert presented by the SFCM New Music Ensemble, conducted by Nicole Paiement. This performance features important works by Harrison, whose style is known for incorporating non-Western traditions, relating to his activism, and showcasing a world of non-traditional techniques and sounds.

After a robust and diverse 2015-2016 season of dance, The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), New York City's premiere presenter of dance, proudly kicks off its 2016-2017 Fall & Winter Season with NY Quadrille, a unique two-week long engagement conceived & curated by famed choreographer Lar Lubovitch, and featuring world premieres by four acclaimed choreographers/companies Pam Tanowitz Dance, RoseAnne Spradlin, Tere O'Connor Dance and Loni Landon Dance Project. The title of the engagement, NY Quadrille, was inspired by the 18th century dance of the same name - a "quadrille" was a dance performed in a rectangular configuration and seen from four sides - therefore, The Joyce Theaterwill be temporarily transformed from September 27 - October 9. Each choreographers' quadrille will be performed in their own program, with each program performed four times over the two week season.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen has announced the 2016-2017 season roster. A total of 71 dancers make up the Company roster, with 57 in Boston Ballet, the main professional company, and 14 in Boston Ballet II (BBII), the second company.

This year marks Principal Dancer Erica Cornejo's final season with Boston Ballet after dancing with the Company for 11 seasons. Cornejo will retire from Boston Ballet in May 2017 with final performances in The Sleeping Beauty.

About Face Theatre has announced its full line-up of 2014-15 programming, kicking off this fall with the Chicago premiere of METHTACULAR!, Steven Strafford's hilarious and harrowing autobiographical account of his three year crystal meth addiction in Chicago. In the winter, AFT presents the Chicago premiere of Daniel Pearle's A KID LIKE JAKE, a contemporary look at gender seen through the lens of parents shepherding their Cinderella-loving son through the rigors of NYC kindergarten admissions. Next spring, AFT presents another Chicago premiere - Bixby Elliot's comedy ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS A F*GG*T, a teen's touching and hilarious quest to prove the truth behind our 16th President's sexual orientation.

Closing their 2013-14 Season, HGO is presenting Georges Bizet's acclaimed CARMEN. For this production, Award winning Broadway Director and Choreographer Rob Ashford took the reins and has created a CARMEN that is as beautiful as it is exciting.
