Ever since Carly discovered the voice of Freddie Mercury, she has been in love with his theatrical, rocker glam persona. Freddie Mercury could sing anything...in any style, and that alone is an art to celebrate. After covering and loving his music for years, Ms. Ozard and musical director Joe Wicht are creating 'Somebody To Love: My Musical Tribute to Freddie Mercury.' Carly will be Queen for a day, paying homage to her idol, and sharing historic and interesting facts about Mercury's public and intimate lifestyle. Carly relates to Mercury's flair for theatrical and dramatic performing, incorporating his work into a night of fabulous cabaret.

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical will bow early in the West End on September 4, 2010, producers have revealed. While the production was scheduled to run through January 2011, the producers have reportedly decided not to recast the show after the current cast's contracts are up on September 4. The production opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End April 14th, 2010.

La Cage Aux Folles star Kelsey Grammer will host the 19th annual concert, which is presented by HUE Leggings and Continental Airlines and officially sponsored by The New York Times, to be held this Sunday, September 12th at 11:30am in Times Square. The annual free outdoor concert brings together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to celebrate the beginning of the Broadway season. For the 3rd consecutive year, Alex Lacamoire will be the Musical Director of Broadway on Broadway.

There are three days I consider high holy days of the Broadway religion: The Tony Awards, the BC/EFA Broadway Flea Market, and Broadway on Broadway. The Tonys, of course, took place in June; but the other two events happen in September -- which means I'm getting ready for a month of celebrating and rejoicing along with thousands upon thousands of other Broadway fans.
