Actor Cliffton Hall, who currently plays the role of Fiyero in the long-running First National Tour production of the blockbuster hit WICKED continues to have a very healthy, enviable career on the stage. Before Hall once again departs the role after WICKED's 4-Week Engagement in Costa Mesa's Segerstrom Center for the Arts comes to an end on March 17, the talented triple-threat chatted with BroadwayWorld about his life in the world of musical theater.

New York's Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announces the Los Angeles premiere of the critically-acclaimed play Slipping, written and directed by Daniel Talbott, which will begin previews Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Elephant Stages' Lillian Theatre in Hollywood, CA. The five-week limited engagement is scheduled to open Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 7:00pm and run through Sunday, May 5, 2013.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that the world premiere of Buyer & Cellar, written by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Stephen Brackett, and performed by Michael Urie, will begin performances Wednesday, March 20 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Wednesday, April 3 at 7pm. Buyer & Cellar is scheduled to run through Saturday, May 4.

The New Group has announced that Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D'Onofrio and Zoe Kazan have joined the cast of Clive, up next in the company's 2012-2013 season. Written by Jonathan Marc Sherman and directed by and featuring Ethan Hawke in the title role, Clive's official Opening Night is set for tonight, February 7 at 7:00pm. This production is slated through March 9 at The New Group at Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street).

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave will star in the world premiere of Eisenberg's The Revisionist, directed by Kip Fagan, which begins its limited run tonight, February 6 and opens Thursday, February 21 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The Revisionist is scheduled to run through March 31, 2013.

The Los Angeles Premiere of Slipping will begin on Saturday, April 6, and run through Sunday, May 5, 2013, as Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's first LA production. The show will play Elephant Stage's Lillian Theatre, 1076 Lillian Way in Los Angeles, Calif.

Goodman Theatre announces Jimmy McDermott, former associate artistic director at Writers' Theatre, as the recipient of the 2012/2013 Season Michael Maggio Directing Fellow for Chicago-based directors. As a fellow, McDermott will receive a stipend and the opportunity to assist on a Goodman production-from early research and design through the casting and rehearsal process to the opening-and become involved in the Goodman's artistic team. LES MISERABLES is one of the most beloved stories by theatre fans all around the globe. Based on the book by Victor Hugo, it tells the story of one man's fight for redemption and touches on the universal themes of forgiveness, love, and loyalty. Jason Forbach plays Enjolras in the current U.S. Tour cast. Originally from Kansas, Jason grew up playing music and later went on to earn a Master of Arts in vocal performance. He finally realized his passion for musical theatre and moved to New York to pursue the dream. Jason was kind enough to answer some questions about his experiences defending the barricades.
