Following five-weeks of exceptional performances in New York City, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will continue its “Ailey Revealed” season during a 21-city North American tour which kicks off during Black History Month. The 2020 engagement opens on February 4th at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with a gala to benefit Ailey's D.C. programs, including the creation of new works, Arts-In-Education activities, and scholarships to talented young area dancers to attend The Ailey School in New York. Other major cities throughout the tour include Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Seattle, Houston, and Boston, culminating with a Mother's Day performance in Newark on May 10th.

Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) presents Building a Feminist Archive: Cuban Women Photographers in the US; an exhibition that features ten women artists whose works in photography provide a glimpse into diverse histories of migration, community, activism and resistance. The work will be on view in the Central and East Galleries from November 20 through December 21, 2019. Free Opening reception is December 6 from 6 pm to 10 pm during Old Town Untapped. Live Arts at the Morris Museum, a bold new performance series, introduces cultural climate change to Morris County's Morris Museum in historic Morristown, New Jersey. Innovative artists from around the world and around the area will dominate the season with world and regional premieres of the most interesting new work being created in music, dance and theater. Live Arts at the Morris Museum is the brainchild of the new Curatorial Director of Live Arts, Brett Wellman Messenger who comes to The Morris Museum by way of The Santa Fe Opera and Peak Performances.

This spring through summer the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) presents Burning Bright: New French Filmmakers as part of its popular CinéSalon series. In what has become an annual highlight of the FIAF calendar, the 2019 edition of Burning Bright showcases recent noteworthy films by nine exciting young filmmakers. The screenings include seven US and NY premieres with introductions by figures from the film industry, as well as appearances from directors. It is organized by FIAF film curator Delphine Selles-Alvarez with Dana Kurylyk and runs every Tuesday from May 7 to June 25.
