Tickets are now on sale for WAM Theatre's fall Mainstage production of The Last Wife by Kate Hennig, directed by Kelly Galvin. The play premiered at the Stratford Festival in 2015 and enjoyed a completely sold-out and extended run. The New Harmony Project announced today that it is now accepting submissions for the 32nd annual conference in May of 2018. Since 1986, the secluded town of New Harmony, Indiana has hosted artists from around the world for two-weeks of dedicated script development. Over the course of the conference, The New Harmony Project offers a retreat from the outside world, and space for writers to fully immerse themselves in their work. The peaceful serenity of New Harmony, the site of two former utopian societies, is a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The WAM Theatre 2017 Fresh Takes Play reading series continues with The Droll by Meg Miroshnik at 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 4 at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe in West Stockbridge. Tyne Rafaeli will direct the Geffen's production which runs May 2, 2017 through June 11, 2017 in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. Opening night is May 10, 2017.

Jacqueline E. Lawton's new political thriller Intelligence makes its world premiere at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Under the direction of Daniella Topol (Round House's Ironbound), Intelligence explores the cost of deception and the consequences of speaking truth to power. Due to popular demand, the production has been extended for one week with eight additional performances and will run February 24-April 9, 2017 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.
