The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for the UK premiere of Jordi Galceran's The Gronholm Method. Making his UK directorial debut, BT McNicholl directs Jonathan Cake (Frank), Greg McHugh (Carl), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Melanie) and John Gordon Sinclair (Rick). The production opens on 22 May, with previews from 10 May, and runs until 7 July.

Steep Theatre will introduce another emerging British playwright to Chicago with the U.S. Premiere of Cordelia Lynn's Lela & Co., directed by Robin Witt, featuring Cruz Gonzalez-Cadel and Chris Chmelik. This production will mark Lynn's U.S. debut, but Chicago audiences are no stranger to the work of director Robin Witt. Witt, a Steep Company Member, has been at the helm of some of the ensemble's most memorable shows, including Simon Stephens' Wastwater, Motortown, Pornography, and Harper Regan; Dennis Kelly's Love and Money; and Alistair McDowall's Brilliant Adventures. She won the 2015 and 2016 Jeff Award for Best Director for Griffin Theatre's Flare Path and London Wall.

On March 7, 2016, the ensemble will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a one-night-only staged reading of Simon Stephens' HARPER REGAN, held in Steppenwolf Theatre's upstairs performance space. The full cast has been announced for the world stage premiere of John Boyne's highly acclaimed and best-selling international novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas which opens at Chichester Festival Theatre on 19 February, from where it will tour England until 27 June. The book, which is a KS3 level school text for 11 - 14 year olds, has been adapted for the stage by Angus Jackson. The press night is Thursday 26 February at 7 pm.

Rehearsals begin today, Thursday, October 2 in New York City for The River, a new play by Jez Butterworth, starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Donnelly and Cush Jumbo and directed by Ian Rickson. The River begins preview performances in four weeks on Friday, October 31 and will open on Sunday, November 16 at the Circle in the Square Theatre (50th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The production will play a strictly limited 13-week engagement through Sunday, January 25, 2015.
