Captain D's, the leading national fast casual seafood restaurant, today announced a new restaurant located in Spartanburg at 1451 W.O. Ezell Boulevard will be opening its doors on Nov. 2 with a grand opening ribbon cutting scheduled for Nov. 3. This restaurant opening marks the brand's debut in Spartanburg for the first time since the early 1990s and kicks off an aggressive growth plan for the Upstate.

The Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace will present HAZEL, based on the character from the Saturday Evening Post comic strip, and the 1960's TV comedy series starring Shirley Booth.

The Old Globe today shared its 2016 Summer Season, which will feature new and familiar works directed by four major American stalwarts. The season features the welcome return of Steve Martin (Bright Star) with the World Premiere of his new play Meteor Shower, an adult comedy, directed by Gordon Edelstein, in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director. Paul Gordon's musical Sense and Sensibility will have its West Coast premiere, presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it had its world premiere in February 2015, directed by CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines. The Summer Shakespeare Festival will include Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, and Love's Labor's Lost, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

There's a new server in town! This October, law enforcement officers across the country will trade their ticket books for order pads and unite at Red Robin restaurants* to serve guests for a special cause. Red Robin's 10 th annual Tip-A-Cop events will take place on Thursday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 24 between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 pm., at more than 350 restaurants in 36 states. Law enforcement officers will volunteer their time as servers alongside Red Robin's wait staff to collect tips from guests to raise funds for their local Special Olympics Programs.

In this taut 2013 theatrical adaptation of Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela's award winning-book, the apartheid regime's most notorious assassin and head of its death squad, Eugene de Kock (played by Matthew Marsh), sits opposite psychologist Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela (played Noma Dumezweni) in Pretoria Central Prison in 1997. Gobodo-Madikizela is a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission determined to understand his actions. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.
