Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum Reveals 2015-16 Season

The Morris Museum has announced the lineup for the 2015-2016 season at the Bickford Theatre, featuring two exceptional comedies (including one world premier), and a nail-biting thriller. The season will also include a fall and spring series of special performances.

"This season promises to provide the highest quality live theatre and entertainment for the broadest audience yet." Said Eric Hafen, Producing Artist Director for the Bickford Theatre. "I cannot wait to share these productions with our patrons."

The Museum will open its season with Not Now, Darling by Ray Cooney and John Chapman. This hilarious farce takes place in the exclusive London fur salon of Bodley, Bodley and Crouch. The story features mistaken identities, scantily clad women, mobsters, suspicious wives and misguided shoppers.

In the New Year, the Morris Museum will present Milan Stitt's, The Runner Stumbles. This riveting mystery tells the tale of a young nun who has died under mysterious circumstances. The nun's pastor, Father Rivard, has been charged with her murder. A powerful and compelling play, The Runner Stumbles received both Off-Broadway and repertory productions prior to its critically hailed Broadway presentation.

The Museum will close its season with the world premier of My Mother, My Sister, and Me by Sherri Heller. Set in the Bronx in the summer of 1969, this heartwarming comedy highlights the struggles, hopes and dreams of thirteen-year-old Holly Abrams and her family.

A mad cap fast-paced comedy about mistresses and minks in the London fur salon of Maude Bodley, Arnold Crouch and Gilbert Bodley. Gilbert's plans to sell an expensive mink to mobster dirt cheap for his wife, Gilbert's mistress, go awry when the mobster plans to buy it for his OWN mistress. Arnold is left juggling everything and everyone.

Soon the whole plan goes out the window along with women's clothing and a few other things.Suspicious wives, mistaken identities, and rapid fire jokes abound right up to the final curtain.

The Runner Stumbles

It is 1911. A young nun has died under mysterious circumstances in a remote parish in northern Michigan, and her pastor, Father Rivard, has been charged with her murder. With alternating action between interrogations, testimony and scenes from the past, the secrets and taboos of their relationship come to a head, which inevitably spelt tragedy. Not until the explosive and surprising climax of the play is the full extent of their sacrifice made clear and the identity of the murderer revealed.
