The BLUEBARN Theatre is proud to open Season 28 with Bertolt Brecht's compelling and timely drama, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.

Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the first show in its celebratory 25th Silver Anniversary season with OUR TOWN, by Thornton Wilder and directed by Richard Israel.  OUR TOWN will preview on Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15 at 8pm and will open on Friday, September 16 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 23 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to announce its 78th season of shows! It's a season filled with laughter, mystery, literature, and stories that touch the heart. This year includes five premieres that have never been seen at the Lakewood Playhouse.

School is back in session at the University of New Haven. One week of classes is officially in the books as we look forward to the rest of the semester that lies ahead of us. In the theatre department, we are particularly excited to begin the process for our Fall Production of Thorton Wilder's Our Town which is the first show of this season. We have an exciting season lined up so far and more announcements to come!

The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with the Center for Holocaust and Humanities Education, is pleased to present two special guest speakers during our production of The Diary of Anne Frank.  These talks, given by local survivors of the Holocaust, are open to all ticket-holders for The Diary of Anne Frank, so please feel free to attend one of these rare opportunities if you've purchased a ticket for another night. These talks will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 6:30 PM and Sunday, September 18, at 4:30 PM.

Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival has commissioned New York-based photographer Ashley Garrett to create a photographic portrait of each cast member for its upcoming production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town.

Mesmerizing virtuoso, former child prodigy and so famous she goes by one name—Midori—joins Pacific Symphony to perform Erich Korngold's achingly beautiful Violin Concerto, which the composer reimagined from four of his acclaimed film scores. The exquisite program is led by Grammy and Juno award-winning music director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Bramwell Tovey, of whom Musical America has called: “One of the most versatile and charismatic musicians in the world.” Tovey also leads the orchestra in grand and thrilling music inspired by the galaxy—Gustav Holst's dramatic interpretation of the cosmos, “The Planets,” enhanced by the voices of the women of Pacific Chorale (John Alexander, artistic director); plus, Debussy's luminous piano piece, “Clair de Lune,” orchestrated by the legendary Leopold Stokowski.
