This Saturday, January 12, 2013, will mark the one year anniversary of celebrity magician/illusionist Wayne Alan owning The Historic North Theatre Performing Arts Center. On the 12th, at 8:00 PM Wayne Alan's performance of his show, Magic of the Masters, the World's Most Famous Illusions will mark the occasion. Tickets are available on line at www.TheNorthTheatre.com or by calling the box office at 434-793-SHOW (7469). It has been an extremely busy year that included renovating the complex, including replacing the fallen façade, and reopening last August 25th which was the 65th anniversary of the opening of the theatre in 1947.

La Jolla Playhouse announces a new play development initiative, the DNA New Work Series, entailing a six-week period of workshop productions and public readings of new plays and musicals, taking place January 24 through March 3, 2013. The focus of the DNA New Work Series is to allow playwrights and directors the opportunity to develop a script by providing rehearsal time, space and resources, culminating in a workshop production or public reading.

Everyman Theatre has announced that it will move into its new home on Fayette Street during the week of November 19, 2012. The administrative offices will be closed during this week in order to facilitate the move and then celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Moving trucks will arrive at the Charles Street location at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 20th.
