GWS Auctions, the world-renowned record breaking entertainment memorabilia auction house has announced the “Artifacts of Hollywood & Music” auction to take place Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. PT.

Artist Georgia O'Keeffe, celebrated for her modernist paintings of flowers, and Patricia Highsmith, the prolific writer best known for such works as Strangers on a Train (1950) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1955), have been added to New York City's LGBT historical narrative. This month, the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project published two new entries to its website, a compendium of extant sites in all five boroughs where LGBT history has occurred and influenced our city and our nation's culture.

National Sawdust, the music incubator and venue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, announces the return of the annual FERUS Festival (January 10-17), featuring presentations from National Sawdust Artists-In-Residence and more. The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the fifteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Angela Sclafani & Benjamin Velez. The 4th Annual Adirondack Film Festival, presented by the Adirondack Theatre Festival has announced its full slate of films and special guests.  This year's lineup includes more than 135 films shown in one weekend (October 17-20) across 6 screens in Downtown Glens Falls.  To open the festival, AFF will feature James Franco's PRETENDERS – shot entirely in Albany and the Capital Reigon.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon, is proud to announce it has received a $20,000 award from The Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation has awarded a record total of $30 million to 533 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States since its inception.
