The Australian Premiere will be held in Brisbane in November, then travel to Sydney in December, this new stage adaptation of The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting revision of the all-time classic.

For two glittering weekends at the end of May, the world turns its attention to the movie event of the year: TheCaan Film Festival at Museum of the Moving Image. Underbelly Productions have today confirmed that a brand new production of Clarke Peters' Olivier Award-winning and Tony-Award nominated musical, Five Guys Named Moe, will open in September 2017 in a brand new pop-up theatre for London in Marble Arch.

The Muny announced today 21 principal cast members for its 99th season. Full company casting will be announced throughout April. The 2017 Muny season opens with Jesus Christ Superstar followed by Disney's The Little Mermaid and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The season continues with the premiere of All Shook Up! and a newly re- envisioned The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Season 99 closes with A Chorus Line and the much- anticipated Muny debut of Newsies.

Major League Baseball's all-time hits leader, three-time World Series Champion Pete Rose, and first-ballot Hall-of-Famer Frank Thomas reprise their roles as studio analysts for FOX Sports' MLB coverage in 2017.

Rehearsals began this week for the revival of John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') as Paul. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will begin previews Wednesday, April 5 prior to the official opening on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Barrymore Theatre. The production will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

Playwright/composer/lyricist Eric B. Sirota, who also happens to be a physicist by trade, scrutinizes the changing nature of love in 'Your Name On My Lips,' a new musical about a young artist who fights to hold on to his soulmate as the materialistic world tugs at her. Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present the work tonight, March 2, through March 19.
