American Composers Orchestra (ACO) will open its 2018-2019 season with a concert honoring Phenomenal Women presented by Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:30pm. The performance, conducted by ACO Music Director George Manahan, will feature the world premiere of Valerie Coleman's Phenomenal Women performed by the Imani Winds with ACO; as well as the world premiere of Alex Temple's Three Principles of Noir with singer Meaghan Burke, director Amber Treadway, and costumes by Storm Garner. Grammy and Grawemeyer Award-winning composer Joan Tower's Chamber Dance from 2006, which treats the orchestra as a chamber ensemble, completes the program.

The Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera presents the North American premiere of its heralded Voices of the Mountains program at Carnegie Hall in New York in a one-night-only performance on November 14, 2018. From October 6 to 27 at the Upper East Side's Bohemian National Hall and Jan Hus Church, GOH Productions will present a Centennial Heritage Festival, featuring mainstage marionette theater productions for adults and kids and musical concerts for audiences of all ages. Hale Centre Theatre (HCT) revealed that the new name of its one-of-a-kind, technologically advanced Centre Stage is the Young Living Essential Oils Centre Stage. The announcement took place in conjunction with opening night of HCT's latest production, Newsies, on Monday, June 25, in the Mountain America Performing Arts Centre in Sandy, Utah. As part of its commitment to giving back to humanity and the community, Young Living Essential Oils will donate funds and products over the next 10 years to the theater. Mary Young, CEO of Young Living Essential Oils, will also now serve on HCT's board of directors.
