Shirley Herz, a legendary theatrical press agent, died on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. The cause was complications from a stroke suffered on July 18, said Sam Altman, a longtime friend.

Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announces the opening of Pygmalion, the Williamstown Theatre Festival's fourth production of the 2013 season. Pygmalion, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, plays on the Main Stage from tonight, July 18 through July 27, following July 17 preview performances.

Goodman Theatre continues its partnership with Chicago Public Library by presenting Stage Chemistry lessons at select branches, as part of each location's ongoing programming. These sessions are a part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel's "Summer of Learning" (through August 10), which encourages young people to participate in activities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM).
