Arriving as part of the NOH-NOW Series within Japan Society's Fall 2017-Winter 2017 Performing Arts Season, coinciding with the Society's 110th Anniversary, this production will have three performances, December 7 9, at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street).

Magnificently set in front of the 18th-century Spanish choir screen from the Cathedral of Valladolid in the Museum's Medieval Sculpture Hall (gallery 305), the tree has become a must-see holiday favorite of both New Yorkers and visitors from around the world. Bell, Book and Candle by John Van Druten is directed by guest artist Elina de Santos and runs November 17-December 10, 2017 in the Young Theatre on campus. Gillian Holroyd casts spells and performs feats of supernaturalism. She even casts a spell over an unattached publisher and he falls head over heels in love with her. Unfortunately, as it turns out, witches aren't allowed to fall in love, which presents a conundrum for dear Gillian.
