In celebration of this season's ON THE TOWN, we've collected 10 of our favorite dance musicals. Martin Farawell, The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation's Poetry Director and Director of the Dodge Poetry Festival, has announced the roster of poets and other performers who will be participating in the 15th biennial Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival, October 23-26, 2014. For the third time the Festival will be held at its new home, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) as well as other venues in Newark's Downtown Arts District, all within easy walking distance of NJPAC.

Amazon Publishing today announced that Oliver Pötzsch, whose Hangman's Daughter series includes “The Hangman's Daughter” (2010), “The Dark Monk” (2012), and “The Beggar King” (2013), has become the first Amazon Publishing author to sell 1 million copies in combined print, audio, and Kindle English language editions worldwide. In 1934, a group of Ashington miners hired a professor to teach an art appreciation evening class. Rapidly abandoning theory in favour of practice, the pitmen began to paint - prolifically. Within a few years avant-garde artists became their friends and their work was acquired by prestigious collectors; but every day they continued to work, as before, down the mine.

As Hollywood gets ready for its big night with The Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24, Sony Movie Channel (SMC) is providing die-hard movie buffs with a month-long Oscar celebration. Starting February 1 through the 28th, SMC is airing films daily that either won an Oscar or were nominated.

Pace University's Pace New Musicals program, dedicated to the discovery of new theater works, and Ryan Scott Oliver, composer-lyricist and producer, will present a staged reading of I Capture the Castle by Marion Adler, Peter Foley and Cara Reichel January 23-27, and its inaugural New Musical Lab, a concert reading of Make Me Bad, by Drew Gasparini and Alex Brightman, which will be presented January 26-27.

Oliver Reid, a veteran of numerous Tony Award winning Broadway musicals, 2012 MAC award recipient for Best Debut-male and the 2011 Julie Wilson award, will Debut at Feinstein's at the Loews Regency, 540 Park Avenue, Wednesday November 28, 2012, Sunday December 2, Monday December 3 and Sunday December 9, 2012.
