Legacy Recordings (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) will release Wouldn't It Be Great, the new studio album from American music icon Loretta Lynn, on Friday, September 28.

Programming for American Ballet Theatre's 2018 Fall season, October 17-28 at the David H. Koch Theater, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. The season will feature World Premieres by Michelle Dorrance and Jessica Lang, as well as centennial tribute performances of Jerome Robbins's and Leonard Bernstein's Fancy Free. Richmond Triangle Players concludes its 25th Anniversary Season with one of the most acclaimed musicals of the 20th century, A Chorus Line. This landmark work, with a cast comprised of performers from up and down the East Coast, opens Today, June 8, 2018 at 8 pm, following a two low-priced previews on Wednesday and Thursday June 6 and 7 at 8 pm. 

The North/South Chamber Orchestra continues its 38th consecutive season of free-admission New York City concerts on Tuesday evening June 5. Guitarist Jordan Dodson will appear as soloist while Max Lifchitz - the ensemble's founder - will be on the podium.

Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works) presents the Gilbert and Sullivan classic, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston, June 9 through 17. A 26-piece orchestra accompanies such well-known songs as "Poor Wand'ring One," "Oh, Better Far to Live and Die" and "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General."

Award-winning and critically-acclaimed Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC - Jesse Marchese, Executive Director; Dev Bondarin, Artistic Director) concludes its 17th mainstage season with a production of the legendary musical Follies by James Goldman (Book) and Stephen Sondheim (Music & Lyrics), directed by APAC artistic director, Dev Bondarin (New York Innovative Theatre Awards nominee for Best Director for APAC's 2017 production of Raisin) and choreographed by Sara Brians (Resident Choreographer, Matilda, Broadway). The 21st Biennale of Sydney opens to the public this Friday, 16 March, presenting the work of 70 artists and artist collectives from six continents, at seven locations around Sydney, in a free, three-month exhibition running until 11 June 2018. This year, Australia's pre-eminent contemporary art event celebrates its 45th anniversary and has been curated by Artistic Director Mami Kataoka exploring the theme of SUPERPOSITION: Equilibrium & Engagement.

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) tonight announced the winners of the 2018 Writers Guild Awards for outstanding achievement in writing for film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio/audio, promotional, and graphic animation categories at concurrent ceremonies at the Edison Ballroom in New York City and The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

In Sally Potter's new dark comedy THE PARTY, Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas) is hosting an intimate gathering of friends in her London home to celebrate her political ascension, while her husband, Bill (Timothy Spall), seems preoccupied. Janet's acerbic best friend, April (Patricia Clarkson) arrives and others follow, some with their own dramatic news to share, but an announcement by Bill provokes a series of revelations that gradually unravel the sophisticated soiree, and a night that began with champagne may end with gunplay.

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra opens its 2017-2018 season on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m, presenting a performance in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra is joined by virtuoso pianist Andr Watts for Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9, K. 271 Jeunehomme.
