Broadway, West End, and National Tour Veteran Jill Paice is adding yet another accomplishment to her long list of credits as she performs her first solo show, Don't Quit Your Daydream at Feinstein's 54 Below on August 13th at 7:00 PM! Amidst planning and prepping for her big night, she talks a bit about all things from how she got her start in theatre, to what to expect on August 13th in the interview below!

Known for her energetic stage shows and pioneering presence as a female artist, the one-and-only Wanda Jackson - popularly known as the Queen of Rockabilly and the First Lady of Rock & Roll - has returned to Nashville to work on new music. Fellow female Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame member, Joan Jett, is producing the project. The as-yet-unnamed project is currently anticipated for a 2019 release. After decades of recording covers, Jackson hit the writing room for this project, co-writing with many hit Nashville songwriters including Angaleena Presley of the Pistol Annies. 'Ex's and Oh's' singer Elle King also contributed a song to the project.

ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.

Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Native Voices at the Autry, America's leading Native American theatre company, presents its 24th Annual Festival of New Plays at the Autry Museum of the American West and La Jolla Playhouse. 98° will embark on a 36-date tour this Christmas. Fans responded with overwhelming positive messages to the last year's hit-filled, high-energy and fun-filled holiday show, so this year, more dates and new cities have been added. 98°'s last Christmas tour played to packed houses across the country. This year's 98° at Christmas 2018 kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 1 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and ends Friday, Dec. 21 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

Due to an unexpected medical situation that requires immediate attention, Bonnie Raitt will no longer be able to join James Taylor & His All-Star Band for the first portion of their previously announced summer tour. Following her annual physical, it was determined she needs to schedule some surgery soon. The prognosis is good and a full recovery is expected.

THE BLACK BOX Broadway Series presents Tyler Hanes in concert on Friday, April 27 at 8 p.m. Hanes performs a solo one-night-only show at the downtown Franklin venue, following his starring role as Rum Tum Tugger in the highly acclaimed Broadway revival of Cats.

The Richard Tucker Music Foundation announced today that Christian Van Horn – “one of those treasurable singers in whose presence one can entirely relax, assured that everything he does will be delivered with solid interpretive insight and unfailingly attractive tone” (Opera News) – has been named as the winner of the 2018 Richard Tucker Award.
