Crystal Gayle Digitally Reissues 'A Crystal Christmas'

Grammy®, AMA, ACM and CMA award winning country music singer and Grand Ole Opry member Crystal Gayle has digitally reissued her 1986 holiday album, A Crystal Christmas, for the first time ever. Like he did on You Don't Know Me, Crystal's son Christos Gatzimos, returned to the studio and remastered his mother's collection of traditional Christmas compositions for digital release. The newly remastered album is now available at Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Amazon.

a?oeYou'll shoot your eye out, kid!a?? can mean one thing and one thing only. A Christmas Story, the Musical is on the first stop of its holiday tour here in Sacramento. Based on the 1983 movie, the musical boasts songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo responsible for Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land. This season, viewers are in for an extra treat as the Community Center Theatre undergoes its massive renovation. Broadway on Tour shows are being performed in the beautiful, historic Memorial Auditorium, which has itself just undergone updates, including acoustical improvements that have made the venue a contender in quality.

Craft Recordings To Reissue 3 Social Distortion Albums On Vinyl

This fall, Craft Recordings will reissue three titles fromSocial Distortion's independent catalog on vinyl. Set for a September 27th release, the LPs include the band's 1983 debut, Mommy's Little Monster, their 2004 studio album, Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll, and 1995's Mainliner (Wreckage From the Past), which compiles early singles and rare B-sides. Celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, the enduring So-Cal punk icons just kicked off their extensive, two-month North American tour with Flogging Molly yesterday (8/13) in Dallas (full tour itinerary below).

For his starring role in Netflix's groundbreaking first original series, 'Lilyhammer,' actormusician Steven Van Zandt explored uncharted waters as a New York mobster who flees to Norway under the witness protection program. In addition to acting in, co-writing and co-producing the acclaimed show as well as directing the final episode, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also scored the music for most of the three seasons, where just like his character, the musician best known as Little Steven of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and an accomplished solo artist who helped pioneer the rock-meets-soul sound, also delved into some terrain foreign to him: the worlds of New York jazz and Norwegian folk music.

As Little Steven gets ready to embark on his North American Summer Of Sorcery tour in support of the recently released new album, the ever-prolific Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer is excited to share two more songs from his forthcoming score for 'Lilyhammer,' Netflix's first-ever series that actormusician Steven Van Zandt starred in, co-wrote and co-produced from 2012-2014. The swinging jazz tune, 'Lilyhammer Nocturne (Theme From Lilyhammer),' and the bluesy rocker 'Espresso Martini,' showcase the diversity and eclecticism found on the two corresponding volumes of the 'Lilyhammer' score which will be released for the first time on July 12 via Wicked CoolUMe as two separate albums: Volume 1: Jazz and Volume 2: Folk, Rock, Rio, Bits And Pieces.

Sony Music Entertainment and Legacy Recordings, a division of SME, have entered into an historic new agreement with Blackheart Records, the groundbreaking American music label founded in 1980 by rock icon Joan Jett, legendary songwriter/producer Kenny Laguna and Meryl Laguna.  The new SME/Legacy/Blackheart pact covers the worldwide rights to Joan Jett's recorded music catalog, including indelible classics and global hits such as 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll,' 'Crimson and Clover,' 'Bad Reputation,' 'Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)' and more.

Ogunquit Playhouse to Present OKLAHOMA!

Rodgers and Hammerstein's great American classic Oklahoma! bursts onto the Ogunquit Playhouse stage June 13 to July 7. The Playhouse is thrilled to create an exciting new production of this beloved classic as part of its 75th Anniversary since first opening on Broadway. This groundbreaking musical was Rodgers and Hammerstein's first collaboration, and in many ways their most innovative, having set standards for musical theatre that are still being followed today. In the annals of jazz history, few events have been more influential than the Jazz at the Philharmonic concert series, and the album series of the same name. From 1944 to 1957, pioneering impresario, Verve Records founder, Norman Granz organized a series of prestigious all-star concerts that featured a who's-who of the genre's most popular and influential artists. These shows were instrumental in raising jazz's public profile, and were among the first high-profile performances to feature racially mixed bands performing for integrated audiences.

Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Theatr Clwyd and English Touring Theatre today announce casting for their co-production of Tennessee Williams' masterpiece A Streetcar Named Desire. 2017 RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award winner Chelsea Walker directs Nicole Agada (Woman/Nurse), Will Bliss (Steve), Dexter Flanders (Mitch), Kelly Gough (Blanche), Amber James (Stella), Patrick Knowles (Stanley), Marai Louis (Eunice) and Joe Manjon (Pablo/Doctor/Paperboy). The second production in the inaugural season at NST City, A Streetcar Named Desire opens at Nuffield Southampton Theatres on 28 March with previews from 23 March, running until 31 March. The production will tour the UK with English Touring Theatre ahead of opening at Theatr Clwyd, where it plays from 15 March until 2 June, before returning to NST City.
