Broadway In Chicago has announced Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen, The Wrestler, Across the Universe) will join the cast of “FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES,” an immersive, concert event showcasing the works of beloved Chicago native John Hughes, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) the second week of performances March 12 – 15, 2015. Evan Rachel Wood will replace Rumer Willis who will play “Basket Case” in the first week of performances March 5 – 8, 2015. Willis will be returning to Los Angeles to prepare for her upcoming, just announced debut on Season 20 of ABC's “Dancing With The Stars.'

Carnegie Hall today announced that Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of Carnegie Hall's Board of Trustees since 1991, will retire from this post after 24 remarkable years of service and a total of 32 years as a Carnegie Hall trustee. Mr. Weill will continue to serve as a member of Carnegie Hall's board, transitioning to a new role as President, a title formerly held by the late violinist Isaac Stern. Mr. Weill is only the second person to hold the title of President since Carnegie Hall was established as a non-profit in 1960.

After a sold-out performance in 2014, The Soul 70's Super Jam will return to the Fox Theatre on Sunday, May 10 for a special Mother's Day concert at 7 p.m.; presented locally by AT&T. The Trust has awarded the Foundation for Contemporary Arts (FCA) $375,000 to establish and endow the Merce Cunningham Award, and the Baryshnikov Art Center (BAC) $250,000 to support the establishment of The John Cage and Merce Cunningham Studio, as well as the creation of a Cage Cunningham Fellowship.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that a stage version of The Exorcist is currently in the works, and Tony nominee Sean Mathias is on board to direct the project. The play, adapted by John Pielmeier, enjoyed a run at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse in 2012, starring Richard Chamberlain and Brooke Shields. Production details have not yet been announced.
