DUSK RINGS A BELL, starring Kate Walsh ('Private Practice,' 'Grey's Anatomy') and Paul Sparks (Broadway's HEDDA GABLER) began previews Wednesday, May 19; and officially opened Thursday, May 27; it played a limited engagement and will close on Sunday, June 20 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16 Street).

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) is proud to announce that Kate Walsh ('Private Practice,' 'Grey's Anatomy') and Paul Sparks (Broadway's Hedda Gabler) will star in the world premiere of Stephen Belber's play DUSK RINGS A BELL directed by Sam Gold.

High Rise Tower to Replace Tokyo's Kabukiza

The Kabukiza, the 60-year-old premier home to Japanese kabuki drama, closed on Friday, April 30. Originally built in 1889, the theatre was destroyed twice by earthquake and war. It is now being razed to make room for a high rise tower. AFP reported an estimated 2,000 audience members at the final two performances.

The New York Philharmonic will present The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev on April 21-May 8, 2010. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.

Five incredible Latin Jazz legends will heat up the Blue Note stage at the Winter Latin Jazz Festival from January 19 to 31. The festival will start with jazz flutist Dave Valentin and conga legend Candido from Jan. 19 - 20. Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and his Latin jazz group will finish up the week from Jan. 21 - 24.
