Amas Musical Theatre Announces Cast for SIGNS OF LIFE; Opens February 16

The cast has been announced for Amas Musical Theatre's production of SIGNS OF LIFE. The cast will be led by Erika Amato, Wilson Bridges and Kurt Zischke. Performances begin on February 16 at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in an all-Russian program, featuring Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2, with the Russian-born pianist Yefim Bronfman as soloist, and Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 8, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 12, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Gilbert will also lead the Rachmaninoff symphony on the Rush Hour Concert, Wednesday, January 6, at 6:45 p.m.

Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center Celebrated in October

On Sept. 6 some 1,500 visitors from all over the North East Corridor experienced the opening of the new Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center. The building, which dates to 1911, was once home to the Old Saybrook Musical and Dramatic Club. In a $5.7 million dollar renovation, the building was restored and named in honor of the late Broadway and screen star Katharine Hepburn.

A.C.T Announces Casting For LNT Production of 'The Exam'

American Conservatory Theater's Young Conservatory director Craig Slaight announced casting today for The Exam, commissioned by London's National Theatre and written by renowned British writer and comedian Andy Hamilton. Directed by Amelia Stewart, the production features actors from A.C.T.'s acclaimed Young Conservatory program. The Exam plays August 15-22 at A.C.T.'s newest performance space, the Garret Room, located on the fifth floor of the American Conservatory Theater.
