Bassoonist Janice Grice performs "Tangos, Serenades and Choros," an innovative program of music by Latin American composers on Hoff-Barthelson Music School's HB Artist Series on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 5:00 pm at the Greenville Community Church, 270 Ardsley Road, Scarsdale. New York City's best cabaret venue has found a home in Seattle. In an all-new producing partnership, Teatro ZinZanni and Joe's Pub at The Public, one of New York City's most celebrated institutions for emerging and accomplished performance artists, present a brand new late night series, 'Joe's Pub Seattle.'

The American Repertory Theater of WNY will begin their 10th season in the new 330 Amherst Street performance space with four productions schedule for the 2016-17 theatrical season. Playwright, songwriter and director Randy Sharp (Last Man Club, Edgar Oliver'sEast 10th Street and In the Park)and songwriter, guitarist and longtime Blondie member Paul Carbonara (Blondie) have teamed up again to create Evening - 1910, a new musical about an immigrant to 1910 New York and a Bowery theater facing eviction as the dawn of cinema becomes day. Axis Company, of which Sharp is the founding Artistic Director, will present the world premiere of the work April 28 - May 28.

?The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music and Oratorio Society of New York, presents the world premiere of a transcription for organ, vocal soloists, and choruses, of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, on Thursday, April 7th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue (at 112th Street), Manhattan. This event follows the two performances of the symphony in its original orchestration at the Cathedral on February 24th and 25th.

Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, Anthony Weigh's new version of Jean Anouilh's hit 1937 comedy Le Voyageur Sans Bagage, will begin previews at The Donmar Warehouse from Thursday 18 February . The production is directed by Blanche McIntyre, and a cast that includes Michelle Asante, Barnaby Kay, Rory Keenan, Katherine Kingsley, Trevor Laird, Sian Thomas, Danny Webb, Fenella Woolgar and Daniel York.

NYC Parks today announced it will hold a public hearing Mon., March 28 for proposed new rules to provide veterans and people with disabilities reduced membership fees to its recreation centers, and Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Athletic Complex, on Staten Island. New Yorkers have an opportunity to submit comment on the proposed new rules beginning this Fri., Feb. 26; comment submissions will be accepted until the morning of the hearing, prior to its start.

Radical Gags Theatrics will present the World Premiere of LIKE MONEY IN THE BANK, the first romantic comedy about the founding of the Federal Reserve Bank, by Jerry Polner. Directed by Shana Solomon, previews begin April 7 at Theatre Row Studio Theatre. Opening night is slated for Thursday, April 14.

These are some of the important questions that music raises, and each year, Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, attempts to shed light on the answers by exploring a different facet of American music through the American Composers Festival (ACF). This year's ACF spotlights organ music through four highly acclaimed organists and the splendor of the king of instruments-in this case, the one-of-a-kind William J. Gillespie Concert Organ, located in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Built from steel, tin, oak, poplar, maple, lead and carbon fiber, the astounding instrument found in the Symphony's concert hall required three years and 42,000 hours of labor by a team of organ builders at C.B Fisk in Gloucester, Mass., before making its debut with Pacific Symphony in 2008.
