The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for its revival of Steve Martin's clever and crowd-pleasing comedy hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Due to popular pre-sale demand, Aurora Theatre Company announces that it will add an additional week of performances for THE REAL THING, Tom Stoppard's (The Coast of Utopia, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead) timeless comedy about an all-too-witty playwright who succumbs to the emotional ravages he puts his characters through. Timothy Near ("Master Harold"…and the boys) returns to Aurora to helm this Tony Award-winner for Best Play (1984) and Best Revival of a Play (2000), featuring Elijah Alexander, Liz Sklar, Carrie Paff (This Is How It Goes, A Delicate Balance, Collapse),Tommy Gorrebeeck (The Monster-Builder, The Eccentricities of a Nightingale), Seann Gallagher, and Emily Radosevich. THE REAL THING now plays through March 5th (added performances: Tuesday, February 28, 7pm; Wednesday, March 1, 8pm; Thursday, March 2, 8pm; Friday, March 3, 8pm; Saturday, March 4, 8pm; Sunday, March 5, 2pm, 7pm) at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. California Shakespeare Theater's 25th anniversary season at the Bruns Amphitheater continues with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning story of the American Dream deferred, Fences, directed by Raelle Myrick-Hodges in her Cal Shakes debut. Fences, which plays from July 6 through July 31, marks the first time Cal Shakes has presented August Wilson's work on its stage. Evening Star Productions will warp from one classic musical to 37 classical plays when they present THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) [REVISED] from June 17th through June 26th at Sol Theatre in Boca Raton. 

The full cast is announced for the final production in the Coronet's spring season, DEATHWATCH, from April 11 to May 7. This new Print Room production of Jean Genet's powerful and provocative first play, in a translation by David Rudkin, marks its first major revival in almost 30 years. Deathwatch stars Danny Lee Wynter, Joseph Quinn, Tom Varey and Emma Naomi, and is directed by Geraldine Alexander, who received critical acclaim for the direction of her own play, Amygdala, at The Print Room's former space in 2013. The Coronet is also working with playwright David Rudkin on complementary activity around the production.

Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, Anthony Weigh's new version of Jean Anouilh's hit 1937 comedy Le Voyageur Sans Bagage, will begin previews at The Donmar Warehouse from Thursday 18 February . The production is directed by Blanche McIntyre, and a cast that includes Michelle Asante, Barnaby Kay, Rory Keenan, Katherine Kingsley, Trevor Laird, Sian Thomas, Danny Webb, Fenella Woolgar and Daniel York.

Sian Thomas will be taking on the role of Mrs Fox in the Donmar's production of Welcome Home, Captain Fox! replacing Francesca Annis who regrettably has had to withdraw from the production for personal reasons.

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has announced that a major new production of Shakespeare's greatest tragedy, King Lear, will embark on a UK tour to nine regional venues from April to July in association with the Royal & Derngate Theatre, Northampton. 

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, the first professional UK production in more than 30 years of Andy Capp The Musical by Alan Price and Trevor Peacock runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 7 February (Press Night: Monday, 8 February 2016 at 7.30pm).

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), now through October 24. Opening Night is tonight, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

California Shakespeare Theater today announced plans for its 2016 season, which will feature one of Shakespeare's sassiest romantic comedies, a Pulitzer Prize-winning story of one family's struggle to achieve the American Dream, and an outrageously funny comedy of manners by George Bernard Shaw. The season, which was selected by outgoing Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone, will include one final Shakespearean title to be selected by incoming Artistic Director Eric Ting later this fall.

Emma Thompson is one of the most celebrated British actresses of her generation. Not only is she noted as an actress, but she is also recognized as a comedian, screenwriter, author and activist. From her beginnings as a member in the Footlights troupe alongside Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, Thompson's credits and filmography have exploded, as well as her presence as a stage-performer. On the upcoming 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards, Emma Thompson is nominated for Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her work in SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET.
